What You Need

Roles and Responsibilities

Strategy & Planning:

  • Develop, implement, and oversee social media strategies aligned with client objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Research industry trends, competitor activities, and audience insights to craft effective content plans.
  • Create monthly/quarterly content calendars across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads, WhatsApp Business, etc.).

Creative Content Creation:

  • Design a wide range of digital content including:
  • Static posts (feed posts, carousels, infographics).
  • Reels, short videos, motion graphics.
  • Stories, highlight covers, profile graphics, banners.
  • Social media advertisements and sponsored creatives.
  • Ensure all visuals are optimized for each platform's specs and best practices.
  • Write or supervise captions, hashtags, and post copywriting in collaboration with content teams.

Platform Management & Execution:

  • Schedule, publish, and monitor content across platforms using tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer).
  • Engage with followers: respond to comments, DMs, reviews, and mentions in a timely manner.
  • Manage community-building activities to foster engagement, reach, and loyalty.

Performance Analysis & Reporting:

  • Track key metrics such as reach, impressions, engagement rate, follower growth, clicks, conversions.
  • Generate weekly/monthly reports with insights, analysis, and actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct A/B tests for creatives, captions, and formats to improve performance over time.

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with content writers, designers, marketing managers, and clients to align messaging and objectives.
  • Collaborate with paid ads team for ad creatives, copy, and performance integration.
  • Coordinate with web and SEO teams for integrating social with other marketing efforts.

Skills & Experience for Social Media Manager & Designer

  • 3-6 years of experience in social media management & content creation (preferably in an agency).
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, algorithms, trends, and features.
  • Proficiency in design tools: Canva (advanced), Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects (preferred).
  • Understanding of content marketing, branding, copywriting, and basic SEO for social.
  • Ability to create and adapt visuals across multiple formats and dimensions.
  • Basic video editing skills for reels, stories, and short-form content.
  • Hands-on experience with social media management tools (Meta Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
  • Analytical mindset for interpreting data and translating into actionable insights.
  • Creative thinking with attention to detail and consistency.
  • Excellent time management, communication, and multitasking skills.
